The ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy has adjusted its national innovation policies by giving more emphasis to so called mission-driven innovation. For the energy transition 13 multiannual mission-oriented innovation programs (MMIP’s) have been formulated. MMIP 1, titled Renewable energy at sea, has the goal to realize the mission ''a CO2-free electricity system in 2050''. For the development of the Innovation Program (MMIP), the TKI Wind op Zee needs an analysis of the potential for chain optimalisation. The government is now seeking support for TKI Wind op Zee in conducting an exploratory study on this subject. The explanatory study will focus on the analysis of the chain and detecting the challenges and possibilities of optimizing the chain.
